In the golden month of October, under the leadership of Ms. Gong Chenyu, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Human Resources Officer of LEAD Group, Lead Intelligent Equipment (hereafter referred to as LEAD) carried out two impactful charitable initiatives in China—turning its philosophy of “Intelligent Manufacturing for Good” into tangible acts that bring warmth and care to people’s lives.
From educational support in Yichuan, Shaanxi Province, to local empowerment programs in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, LEAD—recognized globally as a global leader of new energy intelligent manufacturing solutions—continues to embed a spirit of practical, result-oriented action into its social responsibility efforts. For the company, philanthropy is not an occasional gesture, but a long-term commitment; not a symbolic act, but a meaningful pursuit of change. Through sustained and authentic engagement, LEAD demonstrates the sense of responsibility and dedication that define China’s private enterprises.
Deep Commitment to Yichuan
From Targeted Support to Lasting Companionship
On October 15–16, Ms. Gong and her team traveled once again to Yichuan County, Yan’an, as part of China’s east–west cooperation initiative, further advancing the “Jiangsu–Shaanxi Partnership: Technology for Dreams” educational program.
In this round of support, LEAD prioritized real needs over formalities. During previous visits, the team learned that due to a lack of professional equipment, local schools were unable to conduct maker education programs, leaving students’ curiosity for technology confined to textbooks.
In response, the company donated RMB 138,800 (approx. USD 19,300) to establish a standardized innovation classroom at Chengguan Primary School in Yichuan, fully equipped with laptops, Mata and Whale robotics kits, and related educational tools—allowing children to interact directly with technology and cultivate creativity through hands-on experience.
Beyond hardware, LEAD’s care extended to personal engagement and empathy. Ms. Gong and her team visited local schools and families in need, assessing teaching conditions, listening to students’ stories, and personally delivering school supplies and food essentials.
Her heartfelt message to the children—“Focus on your studies without worrying about finances. Let knowledge open your world, and one day, bring that knowledge back to build your hometown”—captured LEAD’s belief that true support goes beyond material aid; it nurtures growth and hope for the future.
Building on insights from this visit, LEAD will continue its philanthropic commitment this year by expanding the scope of its support programs. Beyond assisting disadvantaged children as it did last year, the company plans to extend aid to primary schools in Yunyan and Gelou Townships, providing not only scholarships, but also customized uniforms, essential reading materials, and other educational supplies.
This initiative in Yichuan marks an important practice under LEAD’s “Warm Light Charity Fund.” Established in February 2025 with an investment of RMB 30 million (approx. USD 4.17 million), the fund represents the company’s shift from one-off donations to systematic, long-term empowerment.
Since launching the Wang Yanqing Education Scholarship Fund in 2017 with RMB 10 million (approx. USD 1.39 million), and subsequently setting up dedicated scholarships across six universities including Harbin Institute of Technology and Southeast University in 2021, LEAD has remained steadfast in its long-term commitment to educational support—turning its belief in “Intelligent Manufacturing for Good” into sustained action.
Rooted in Wuxi
Empowering Special Education through Innovation
On October 23, Ms. Gong Chenyu once again led a meaningful initiative—this time in Xinming Experimental School, a special education institution in Wuxi’s Xinwu District. The project, titled “Dream with Your Feet, Walk with Warmth,” took a unique approach: rather than focusing solely on donations, it addressed one of the most pressing challenges for special education students—the gap between learning and employability—by providing practical tools to support their social integration and career readiness.
Through its “Football for Charity” program—an internal campaign that donates RMB 100 for every goal scored during company football matches—LEAD raised funds to donate sports equipment worth RMB 9,700 (approx. USD 1,350). In addition, the company invested RMB 20,000 (approx. USD 2,780) to build the LEAD Warm Light Vocational Training Room, designed to replicate real-life hotel and restaurant environments. The facility is equipped with beds, tableware, and other amenities, allowing students to practice key hospitality skills such as bed-making and table-setting—helping them build confidence and prepare for future employment.
As Ms. Gong remarked, “‘Intelligent manufacturing’ represents our strength, while ‘doing good’ reflects our purpose. Bringing hope to children in Yichuan and creating opportunities for special students in Wuxi—this is the truest expression of what ‘Intelligent Manufacturing for Good’ means to LEAD.”
Looking ahead, LEAD will remain true to its founding values—using industrial innovation to give back to society, and continuing to let the warmth of “Intelligent Manufacturing for Good” shine upon those who need it most.
