Lead Intelligent Launches Autism Support Program in Wuxi with RMB 200,000 Donation

On August 5, Lead Intelligent announced a donation of RMB 200,000 through its Warm Light Public Welfare Fund to launch the “Xiangci Huxing” Autism Support Program in Wuxi.

The program adopts an integrated approach combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-based rehabilitation, traditional culture and family support. Led by a professional medical team, the initiative aims to support children with autism while easing the financial burden on families facing hardship. The initiative reflects Lead Intelligent’s commitment to its “Smart Manufacturing for Good” ESG philosophy and marks a further step in its efforts to support children with special needs in the communities where it operates.

Addressing Gaps in Autism Rehabilitation

The initiative responds to the long-standing needs of children with autism and their families in Wuxi. Children between the ages of 3 and 12 may face limited access to rehabilitation services and a lack of diverse intervention options, while their families often shoulder significant financial and caregiving responsibilities.

While conventional approaches may place a strong emphasis on behavioral interventions, families may also seek support that addresses broader developmental and family needs. Community-based rehabilitation services therefore have an important role to play in making support more accessible and tailored to individual circumstances.

The first phase of the “Xiangci Huxing” program will run for 17 months and include two complete intervention cycles. To support the quality and effectiveness of the program, it will be delivered by an expert team led by a PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine, with a particular focus on families facing financial hardship.

An Integrated TCM-Based Rehabilitation Approach

The “Xiangci Huxing” program combines acupuncture, herbal medicine and therapeutic massage with traditional cultural activities and family training, creating an integrated, full-cycle rehabilitation approach.

Treatment plans are tailored to individual children, while parents receive practical training to support rehabilitation at home. The program is designed to bring together professional medical support and active family participation throughout the rehabilitation process.

Core interventions include TCM syndrome-based treatment, Jin’s Three-Needle scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation massage, complemented by activities such as calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting and Baduanjin, a traditional Chinese exercise practice. Parents also receive skills training and participate in home-based rehabilitation activities.

The program focuses on areas including language development, social interaction, emotional and behavioral regulation, and sensory integration, taking a holistic approach to children’s development and well-being. Through public welfare funding, the program also seeks to reduce the financial and caregiving pressures faced by participating families and support children in improving their quality of life and participation in everyday life.

Integrating “Smart Manufacturing for Good” into ESG

Headquartered in Wuxi with a global presence, Lead Intelligent has made social responsibility an integral part of its corporate strategy. Under its “Smart Manufacturing for Good” philosophy, the company incorporates public welfare initiatives into its broader ESG framework, seeking to create value for both its business and the wider community.

In February 2025, Lead Intelligent established the RMB 30 million Warm Light Public Welfare Fund in partnership with the Xinwu District Charity Association. The fund provides a structured, long-term platform for initiatives spanning education, community support, environmental restoration and emergency assistance.

A Lead Intelligent representative said, “A company’s value is reflected not only in industrial innovation and technological progress, but also in the way it contributes to society.”

Lead Intelligent will participate throughout the program to support project oversight and impact tracking, helping ensure that the donated funds are used responsibly and effectively. The company also hopes that the experience gained through the initiative can provide useful insights for similar efforts to support children with special needs.

Looking ahead, Lead Intelligent will continue to deepen its community engagement and expand its long-term public welfare initiatives, working with partners to support children with special needs and their families.
