From May 19 to 21, the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 was held at the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre in the Netherlands.
As one of the most influential annual events in the global hydrogen industry, this year’s summit was themed “Building a Deliverable Hydrogen Economy.” The event brought together more than 4,800 exhibitors and over 10,000 industry professionals from across the hydrogen value chain, spanning policy, finance, manufacturing, and end-use applications.
Against this global backdrop for hydrogen innovation and industrial development, Lead Intelligent Equipment (hereafter referred to as LEAD), through its wholly owned subsidiary Lead Hydrogen Intelligent (LHI), showcased a range of core intelligent manufacturing solutions, including coating systems, electrolyzer assembly equipment, and testing platforms. The company highlighted the technological strength and global delivery capabilities of China’s advanced hydrogen equipment manufacturing sector while engaging with industry partners worldwide on practical pathways to accelerate the transition from technology validation to large-scale commercialization.
As the global hydrogen industry moves beyond demonstration projects toward industrial-scale deployment, intelligent equipment, standardized testing, and integrated system solutions are becoming key competitive differentiators. Leveraging the strategic advantages of the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands is rapidly positioning itself as Europe’s hydrogen gateway, creating significant opportunities for international collaboration across the hydrogen ecosystem.
Taking the summit as an important platform for engagement, LHI remains committed to supporting global carbon neutrality goals through the continuous development of high-performance equipment solutions tailored to international markets. The company is also strengthening its localized overseas service network to better support Europe’s evolving hydrogen economy and deepen the integration of Chinese intelligent manufacturing capabilities into the global hydrogen value chain.
Driven by a commitment to higher precision, greater efficiency, and enhanced reliability, LHI continues to address critical manufacturing challenges and advance industry-leading equipment solutions, including:
Electrolyzer Assembly
LHI’s PEM and AEM electrolyzer assembly equipment delivers a stacking accuracy of ±0.1 mm and supports annual production capacity of up to 2 GW per line, providing a highly efficient and reliable solution for large-scale electrolyzer manufacturing.
Coating
The large-roll coating machine achieves coating uniformity within ±5% and alignment accuracy below 0.5 mm while reaching coating speeds of up to 10 m/min. The system successfully addresses key manufacturing challenges in double-sided PEM coating, including swelling control, precision alignment, and high-efficiency drying—three critical processes that have traditionally constrained one another.
Testing and Validation
LHI’s electrolyzer testing platform increases gas analyzer response speed by 75% and is capable of accurately supporting testing across a wide power range, including simulations of fluctuating wind and solar power inputs. The solution effectively overcomes the limitations of conventional testing systems, such as delayed response times and restricted testing ranges.
Backed by extensive process expertise and a proven track record in international project delivery, LHI’s products are developed in alignment with leading global standards. Today, the company serves more than 80% of the world’s leading hydrogen enterprises and maintains the industry’s largest overseas deployment footprint.
In early 2026, LHI’s self-developed CCM coating machine successfully passed acceptance testing for a high-standard project in Germany. Building on its established delivery experience in the European market, the project marked the company’s first breakthrough in supplying core hydrogen manufacturing equipment for a key process within Germany’s hydrogen industry. The acceptance process was led by independent German third-party experts, and the equipment earned strong recognition from the customer for its outstanding performance.
From intelligent manufacturing in Wuxi to the global stage in Rotterdam, LHI has remained committed to technological innovation, uncompromising quality, and comprehensive global service capabilities, continuously advancing its position in the core hydrogen equipment sector.
Looking ahead, the company will continue to overcome critical process bottlenecks and enhance its end-to-end manufacturing solutions. Through reliable intelligent manufacturing technologies, LHI aims to support the large-scale development of the global green hydrogen industry and contribute robust equipment capabilities to the worldwide transition toward carbon neutrality.
