On April 12, 2025, Lead Intelligent Equipment (hereinafter referred to as “LEAD”) hosted its Global Supplier Conference in Wuxi, China, under the theme “Weathering the Storm, Advancing Together.” The event brought together LEAD Group Chairman Wang Yanqing, LEAD Director Wang Lei, and representatives from over 300 suppliers worldwide to collaboratively chart a course for high-quality development across the new energy industry value chain.
Transformative Progress, Steady Growth Ahead
In his opening speech, LEAD Group Chairman, Wang Yanqing, delivered a comprehensive review of the company’s performance over the past year. Despite facing macroeconomic uncertainties and cyclical industry challenges, he emphasized that LEAD achieved high-quality growth by embracing transformation and innovation—turning adversity into opportunity.
The company built a process framework and an integrated digital platform tailored to its operational needs, establishing a highly collaborative, agile, and platform-based supply chain model. This significantly strengthened its foundation for lean operations. LEAD’s globalization strategy also accelerated, with overseas business experiencing rapid growth and gaining the trust of world-class clients, leading to steady market share expansion.
Meanwhile, the company’s brand influence continued to rise. LEAD made its debut on the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce’s Top 500 Private Manufacturing Enterprises list, was named among Fortune China’s inaugural Tech 50, and successfully passed the evaluation for the prestigious China Industrial Awards.
Mr. Wang emphasized that these achievements were made possible by the steadfast support of LEAD’s thousands of supplier partners around the world. Looking ahead, he called for continued unity and collaboration, outlining four key areas for joint advancement: enhancing R&D and technological cooperation, optimizing costs continuously, strengthening product quality assurance, and improving service responsiveness. He encouraged all partners to work alongside LEAD to build a shared path toward long-term, sustainable growth.
Mr. Wang also highlighted that as global demand for clean energy continues to rise, the new energy sector—central to the energy transition and sustainable development—is poised for significant growth. “This year, leading battery manufacturers have announced major capacity expansions, and new energy vehicle sales are steadily increasing,” he noted. “LEAD has had a strong start to 2025, with a robust pipeline of orders. We look forward to sharing these growth opportunities with our supplier partners as we work together to become global leaders in our respective fields.”
Strengthening Policy Support, Building a Sustainable Ecosystem
In his keynote address, Mr. Wang Lei, Director of LEAD, outlined the company’s transformation vision and strategic roadmap for the supply chain. Over the past year, he noted, LEAD has implemented bold reforms in delivery performance, cost restructuring, and technological collaboration—achieving tangible, positive results.
Looking ahead, Mr. Wang emphasized LEAD’s ambition to build a new ecosystem of shared success with its supplier partners—a “community of shared technology, cost, delivery, and quality”—aimed at fostering genuine mutual benefit and win–win outcomes.
To accelerate this transformation, he also announced a comprehensive supplier incentive program. It includes support from an innovation fund, increased procurement opportunities, an optimized supplier evaluation system, and enhanced capacity-building initiatives—designed to reward and empower suppliers who actively align with LEAD’s strategy.
Business leaders from LEAD shared key insights on supply chain strategy, quality management, compliance, and digital transformation, while senior supplier executives provided their perspectives on the future of strategic collaboration.
To honor the strong support and contributions of its partners, LEAD presented awards in several categories, including Excellence, Weathering the Storm, Advancing Together, Outstanding Quality, Innovation Breakthrough, Transformation Pioneer, and Best Quality.
The conference also featured a formal signing ceremony, marking a milestone in deepening collaboration and establishing a strong foundation for future growth and long-term partnership.
This conference not only represents a key milestone for LEAD and its global supplier partners to deepen collaboration and pursue shared growth, but also serves as a strategic platform for building consensus and driving coordinated progress across the entire new energy value chain.
Looking ahead, guided by the dual-carbon goals, the new energy industry is poised for tremendous growth. LEAD, together with its global supplier network, will harness this momentum to strengthen collaboration across all fronts. Taking this conference as a new starting point, we will face challenges together, deepen our partnerships, and jointly shape the next chapter in the global new energy industry’s development.
